One Collection for the Whole Day

Most drinkware sets give you the same cup four times. This one gives you four different vessels for four different moments — a big beer tankard for the evening, a small coffee mug for the morning, a round tea mug for the afternoon, and a footed goblet for wine or something stronger. Each thrown by hand in our Ukrainian workshop, each milk-fired outside and glazed inside, and all four made as a matched family rather than a matched pair.

What Ties Them Together

They aren't the same shape or size, so what makes them a set is the finish. Every piece is milk-fired on the outside — coated in milk after the first firing and fired again, so the surface darkens to a warm russet and seals without glaze, keeping that raw rustic character where your hand rests. And every piece is glazed dark on the inside, so each one holds heat or liquid, wipes clean, and gives you a sealed surface where the drink sits. Rustic where you hold them, practical where you drink — four times over. Line them up and they read as one collection.

The Four Pieces

The beer tankard — 800 ml. The big one. A heavy, rough bark-textured body with a wooden bar handle set into clay loops, built for ale, cider or a long pour by the fire. It's the piece that anchors the set.

The coffee mug — 180 ml. Small and ribbed, for the short strong morning cup — espresso, cortado, black coffee you drink hot.

The tea mug — 400 ml. Round and smooth, for a proper mug of tea, a long coffee, or cocoa on a cold night.

The goblet — 120 ml. Footed and stemmed, held by the stem so your hand stays off the drink — for wine, mead or a measure of something special.

Why This Set Exists

It's built as a sampler and a gift. If you want to try the whole range of our milk-fired drinkware in one go, this is it — four forms, four sizes, one finish. And as a present it's hard to beat: it covers morning to night, so whoever receives it reaches for a different piece depending on the hour, and remembers where it came from each time.

Materials

Natural red clay, fired hard — the brown is the iron in the clay drawn out by heat. Milk-fired finish outside; food-safe dark glaze inside each piece. The beer tankard has a natural wooden handle. Free of lead and industrial coatings.

Care

  • Hand wash only — never the dishwasher
  • Rinse soon after use
  • Soft sponge or cloth; baking soda for coffee or tea staining
  • No long soaking
  • Keep the wooden handle out of prolonged water; dry it well
  • Dry all pieces fully before storing
  • Keep out of long, direct sunlight

Cared for this way, the collection lasts for years and deepens in tone.

For a housewarming, a wedding, a big birthday, or the person who has a favourite drink for every hour of the day.
